This year we celebrated Caspian's first Halloween, and Valentino's second Halloween. Last year I was pregnant and exhausted for Halloween, so we didn't even have a pumpkin! We hardly did anything! I felt so bad, so this year I over compensated. I went slightly overboard. No big deal.
We had a small family gathering and some neighbors over. It was so much fun!
Guess what we were?.........
There's no place like home......
My husband and I have been on a Ketogenic diet for months, so we decided to break it for one day and have a "carb day" where we get to eat anything and everything we want. What better day to have carb day than on Halloween?
So of course I went all out and killed myself with pizza, wine, candy, cakes, cupcakes and macaroons. Tomorrow I anticipate feeling very ill and having big regrets.
We had a fantastic labor day weekend this year. My cousin Olivia got married, we went to her fabulous wedding, and the kids got to meet their cousins and a bunch of family in and around all the festivities.
The wedding was so much fun and so beautiful and I am just so happy for her and her husband.
How gorgeous is my cousin? What a good looking couple......
The wedding was held at the American Horticultural Society in Alexandria, VA. It was such an amazing venue.
I love the bubbles. What a cute idea!
I love this family......
The kids were too little to attend the wedding, but they had a great time meeting family members afterwards at a little get together at our house.
I'm obsessed with making pretty tablescapes....filled with foods I can't even eat (carbs). I gave away half this food to my mom as we can't even eat it. #ihatedieting
The kids had a blast. I feel like it's so important for them to know their family members.
Valentino just hanging out, watching me cook.
Feeding grandpa some cheerios.
Valentino and Caspian were even invited to another party. And they behaved like perfect gentleman (well, for the most part).
Caspian and Valentino loved their cousin Micah!
